Why are these stories free?

Many things have been provided for me in this life and I have reaped the benefits of generous friends and family. A few years ago, I encountered a huge community of readers who were on limited income or fixed income and simply couldn't afford to buy books. Especially at the rate they consume them. They seek out free reading material they can read on their phones or other computers. Recognizing this, I decided to work on making all my books and stories free. The limitation is that they are available only online in the free format—a reading experience that is pretty darn good. I have made this commitment both for my Nathan Everett mainstream books and for my Devon Layne erotic romance and adventure. The latter is available at DevonLayne.com. I made a decision some years ago that readers were more important to me than sales. Interaction with readers is even better. In good faith, I post these books, many of which are also available in eBook and print editions from the major vendors, and wish you many hours of relaxing enjoyment.
